About QCPC

Quezon City Pride Council (QCPC) was constituted to oversee the integration of all city programs and projects for the LGBTs (lesbian, gays, bisexual, and transgender) community. QCPC, created by Mayor Herbert Bautista thru an office order, was formally launched March 25, 2013 to highlight the city government’s continuing support for the implementation and enforcement of gender-based policies, programs and activities.

 The QC Pride Council is a pioneering initiative of the QC local government and the first of its kind in the country.

OUR VISION
QCPC envisions Quezon City as the most open and welcoming city that protects and promote the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) persons by supporting the LGBT Pride events and other socio-cultural, economic, environmental, educational and spiritual events without prejudice and discrimination.

OUR MISSION 
1. To mobilize LGBT communities, groups, clans, organizations and associations within Quezon City to stage LGBT related events.
2. Encourage LGBT friendly business and investors to invest in Quezon City to the Pink Peso market concept.
3. Raise resources for formation of the Quezon City LGBT Center under the QCPC Foundation, Inc.

OUR OFFICERS



Director Socrates Topacio, DGPI - Chairperson
                Socrates Hernandez Topacio is an actor, director, production designer, set decorator, art director and miscellaneous crew. He has been an actor since 1972 for several TV shows. He started directing at 1977 for several drama anthologies, comedy shows, live shows, and many more. He is a resident artist at the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) since 1969.

Ma. Cristina “Ging” Cristobal – Vice – Chairperson
                Ging Cristobal brings 12 years of LGBT activism in the Philippines and Asia to her position as Project Coordinator for Asia and the Pacific Islands at International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC). She co-founded Lesbian Advocates Philippines (LeAP), has lobbied for laws to protect LGBT rights, researched and documented LGBT discrimination cases, and facilitated various local and regional groups and networks on LGBT sexual health and rights. She is currently an active member of Asia Pacific Rainbow, a regional LGBT organization. She works to address the intersections of violence and poverty in LBGT communities.

Erwin Joselito ‘EJ’ Ulanday – Executive Director
                EJ is the President of Quezon City Hall Gay Employee Association and a regular employee representing the Office of the Mayor.

Rica Paras – Finance Director
               A former Pinoy Big Brother Housemate and an officer of Society of Transsexual Women of the Philippines (STRAP).

Romrico ‘Rico’ Luga – Board Marshall
              Rico has long been an LGBT advocate and is currently the President of Trippers Philippines, a SEC-registered LGBT organizations that promotes LGBT rights through social engagement.

Director Crisaldo Pablo, IFC – Board Member
                Crisaldo Pablo is a director and writer. He is also known as the Father of Independent Queer Cinema Mainstreaming in the Philippines and promotes his LGBT advocacies through his Sinehan Advocacy Media Projects Inc.

Director Nick De Ocampo - Board Member
                Direk Nick is an award winning writer and director. He is also a Professor for Film in major universities and is currently the Festival Director for the International Pink Festival.
